CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH OF MYANMAR

The Congregational Church of Myanmar, the country once known as Burma, was founded by the Reverend Dr  Elvis Sa Do (Say Doe) and his wife Naw Pale Say (Nor Palay Say) on June 6th, 2000.

When they started the Church Reverend Sa Do rented a small house to serve as his family's residence and that of the newly formed Church. Then in 2003, with the help of Christian friends, he was able to purchase the house. This was how the Congregational Church of Myanmar came into existence.

Now the original home serves as the Grace Girls' Hostel while a recently constructed building now serves as the main Hostel and Dining Hall.

"For where two or three are gathered together in my name I am there among them."

Matthew 18 : 20

Originally, Reverend Reverend Sa Do was from a Christian family of the  people who live in the Chin State while Naw Pale Say,who has a Karen Baptist background, the Karen people residing mainly in Southern and South-Eastern Myanmar, was from the Ayeyarwady Region.

Reverend Dr Sa Do graduated with a M.Div. (Master of Divinity) from Grace Baptist Theological Seminary while, before her marriage, Naw Pale Sae was a Primary School Teacher having graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Yangon University.
